All film images have been scanned with a high-resolution drum scanner and color corrected to match the original film transparency. These digital images are now stored on a computer and are ready for printing.

Prints

Prints larger than 16×24 will be printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper using a LightJet printer. The LightJet printer uses laser beams to expose photographic paper and the photographic paper is then processed chemically. I have had 48×60 prints produced on the LightJet printer with outstanding results. When displayed properly (behind glass and out of direct sunlight) LightJet prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper are not expected to fade for many decades.

Prints up to, and including, 16×24 will be printed on a Premium Luster paper using a high end Epson printer with pigmented inks. These prints also have a similar life expectancy as the LightJet prints. If you desire to have these smaller prints produced on the LightJet printer I can instruct the Lab to make those for a slight additional charge.

Matting and Framing

Matted prints will be permanently attached to gatorboard and will have a 3-inch double mat. The double mat will be white on white unless you call and request something different. These matted prints are now ready for framing.
